A Friend

A friend is a person very dear to one’s heart,
She is kind , pretty and thoughtful, she is sweet and she is smart.
She will play and romp and run; she will sing with you
and laugh with you; she’s always lot’s of fun!
She’ll always tell you the truth, and she is always  very nice.
I have never had a friend like this, not once and never twice.
I wish I had a friend like this, that is kind and dear and true.
I have looked for her , here and there, this way and that way too.
But now I think I have found her , a friendship fresh and new:
 I have found the friend I have always wanted;
 I found it in you!
