Don't Forget, Mother

Eight hands to be painted.
Four dresses to be picked.
Four heads to be brushed.
And eight lashes to be slicked.

Hair to be curled on all four
Little brown heads.
Sheets to be folded from
All four pink and purple beds.

So many many clothes to wash
To be dry and clean and white
Put four little girls in bed,
Kiss their cheeks and say, “good night!”

I am thankful for my mother
And her love forevermore.
Don’t forget to wake us up tomorrow
And give us hugs… all four!
