Beautiful Things

Ah! Beautiful things! God made a bountiful amount! 

There are so many more then ever I could count!

The sun and the moon and the glistening dew.

I will try to mention only a few:

Beautiful people of all different race,

flowers and somersaults and dresses with lace.

Cute little babies and furbellows and frills,

wide open windows with birdies on the sills.

Glittering snowflakes, and butterfly wings,

the sweet lulluby that dear Mother sings.

Strong healthy horses and high soaring swings,

Let me fill your head with more beautiful things...

Bunnies and puppies and colorful feathers,

fun pool parties on the warmest of weathers.

The love of a family, precious times with a friend,

And, no, the list still doesn't end...

Daydreams, laughter, tulips and smiles,

 drawing and paintings of all different styles,

letters from loved ones and fuzzy white kittens, 

rosy cheeks, rainbows, and warm homemade mittens!

Yummy little treats made by your very own self, 

sweet, chubby toddlers and books on a shelf.

Laughing at nothing and thinking you've gone mad, 

smiling at a stranger, and kissing my dad!

Now I ask you the question- What is beauty made of, 

Look at the cross, my friend, beauty is love.
