There are so many dear things in this wonderful life,
Brother and sister, husband and wife,
With grandma and grandpa ‘twill be hard to part.
God bless these sweet people, so dear to my heart.
When all these are gone and you’ve lost all you’ve got,
and
you think to yourself, ‘I’ve been forgot’
it is no reason to be sour, and hard as a
stone,
Just look up to heaven, you are ne’er alone.
For the LORD is still with thee and He’ll never depart.
Only He can make you happy, so don’t harden your heart.
Though ill may befall, and darkness all ‘round
As long as your soul is to Jesus bound,
You will always find joy in your very best Friend
‘til He calls you Home where all trials will end.
