I said goodnight to a world of blue,
and woke up to a world of white.
As if two loving, invisible hands
worked silently all through the night
To bring me a world so much cleaner
and brighter than it was the day before.
Oh LORD! How beautiful the work of your hands!
Like waxen-white silk that covers the floor.
My heart too, I pray it be,
as pure and as white as this snow.
But no works of valor or deeds of grace
have I to boast or to show.
Only a sinner, an outcast am I..
I don't even know where to start.
But Jesus promised to make me
white as this snow,
If only I opened my heart.
